Prosper bidding farewell to Yorkshire Garden Centres

Prosper, a leading buying group committed to supporting enterprise and growth within our industry, announces the departure of Yorkshire Garden Centres GC, effective 30 September 2024.

Terry Head, Retail Director of Stewarts and Chairman of Prosper, stated: "YGC has been a supportive contributor of the group, and their dedication and efforts have enhanced our collective success. We are appreciative of their commitment and the positive impact they have had during their time with us, and we wish them much success in the future.

"Prosper will continue to work closely with our valued suppliers, ensuring that our collaborative efforts remain strong and fruitful for all. We are also excited about the prospect of potentially strengthening our group with new members who align with Prosper's values.”

Prospers current members are Aylett Nurseries, Barton Grange, Cowells, Chessington Garden Centre, Knights Garden Centres, Perrywood Garden Centres, Stewarts and St.Peters.

Terry added: “ I am very pleased to announce that Simon Bourne, Director of Perrywood, has accepted a new role within Prosper, as  Vice Chairman. We are confident that the introduction of the Vice Chairman position will enable us to better serve our members and achieve our long-term goals."
