What will September bring for compost sales?

Sales during the second week of August in the GTN Bestsellers garden centre epos data were higher than any September week over the past six years and if we look at trends September sales are usually at least double the levels seen in August.

Top soil sales were particularly notable in the GTN Growing Media chart last week.  Sales were over 350% up on the same week last year and accounted for 16% of the Top 50 Growing Media products sales volume.

  • Westland Top Soil 25 litres zoomed 40 places up the chart to No 5.
  • Melcourt Topsoil Blended Loam 20 litres is a new entry at No 34.
  • Evergreen Garden Care Levington Essential Top Soil 35 litres stays at No 3 for the 4th week in a row.
