June 2020 sets new garden centre trading records

As predicted last week, total volume garden centre sales in June reported in the GTN Bestsellers weekly Epos data set an all-time record.  Up 35% on June 2019 and even 6% higher than the previous June best set in 2015.

Within the data, growing related sectors saw huge volume increases and new records set.  Veg 2 Gro for June was up by 199% year-on year, Growing Media grew by 80% year-on year and All Plant sales were up by 45%.

In addition, record sales of garden furniture and BBQ’s mean that turnovers will be at even higher record levels for the month too.  With Solex not happening as a live event this year the GTN team will be bringing you the Solex Sun e-mail newsletter every day next week to help you with your buying decisions for next year’s outdoor leisure ranges.  See you there, virtually, of course using this link!
