Wear something floral as tribute to Peter Seabrook

People from the horticultural trade attending Peter Seabrook’s funeral on Thursday, February 24, have been asked to either wear a floral tie (as Peter always did) or pick a flower from their garden that morning and wear it in their buttonhole as a tribute to him for all his work for the industry.

The funeral is taking place at St Michael’s and All Angels Church, Galleywood, near Chemsford, CM2 8PW, at 12.30pm on Thursday 24 February  held in Chelmsford on 24 February 2022.

Those wishing to attend are asked to contact Peter’s son and daughter, Roger and Alison, via aseabrookmoore@gmail.com because numbers are limited due to Covid-19.

In lieu of flowers, donations, if wished, be made to the David Colegrave Foundation, supporting the development of students studying horticulture in the UK and Ireland, or to Alzheimer’s Society c/o T Pennack & Sons, 1-3 Maldon Rd, Chelmsford, CM2 7DW.

Equally, Peter would have been delighted for people to plant a tree (and perhaps upload a virtual plaque to www.queensgreencanopy.org) as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy jubilee celebrations.
