Another accolade for multi-award-winning Barton Grange

Barton Grange at Brock near Preston has done it once again. The multi-award-winning garden centre has been announced as the winner of the GCA's ‘Destination Garden Centre of the Year’.

On top of this, Barton Grange have also won The Ruxley Rose, which presents the garden centre with the title of Best Plant Area in the UK. It is only the second time they have accomplished such a high achievement, highlighting the tough competition within the industry.

Judged in spring and autumn of last year, garden centres of the GCA were scored on their entrance, department areas, customer service, website, product range, product quality, sustainability and creativity.

Managing Director of Barton Grange Garden Centre, Guy Topping, said; “What an achievement? Winning Best Garden Centre and Best Plant Area in the UK is a dream! It’s a real honour to have been given these titles, especially with the challenges we’ve had to navigate over the year. The teams haven’t let the adaptations we’ve had to make due to the pandemic faze them, and have continued to work exceptionally hard. They’ve done an unbelievable job in making the garden centre such a fantastic and safe place to be, I couldn’t be more proud.”

Barton Grange Garden Centre have also been awarded prizes for their Creativity and Innovation, Indoor Lifestyle departments and Best Christmas Displays in the UK.

Tammy Woodhouse, Chairman of the GCA, visited Barton Grange on 16th February to present the Destination Garden Centre of the Year cup, and will be returning in early March to award the rest of the trophies and certificates.
