Strawberry plant sales rise in anticipation of Wimbledon

It seems the recent heatwave and the expectation of an exciting Wimbledon fortnight got gardeners thinking about relaxing outside with a glass of Pimms. The main movers in the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro chart were strawberry and garden mint plants.

The main highlights this week were:
  • Farplants Strawberry Rhapsody was the highest re-entry at No 2.
  • W D Smith Strawberry (10cm) moved up to the top position.
  • Farplants Garden Mint (2 litre) was the highest new entry at No 29.
  • Quantil Tomato Gardeners Delight 8cm was the highest climber, jumping 27 places to No 16.
