Fuelling sales – Exclusive GTN Bestsellers analysis

Queuing for fuel last weekend may have had some impact on garden centre sales, but the GTN Bestsellers Garden Centre EPOS data, shows that sales for the week were 28% up on the same week in 2019. Did the RHS Chelsea Flower Show TV coverage contribute to that?

At Alton Garden Centre, Derek Bunker used the fuel problems to run an impromptu garden furniture promotion (pictured ….)  Andy Bunker told us they sold quite a few sets of furniture over the weekend, but not all customers wanted the free fuel!
