Cold weather doesn’t help Wild Bird Care sales

The second blast of cold weather didn’t have any positive impact on the sale of Wild Bird Care products with the Top 50 GTN Bestsellers volumes dropping by 21%.

In the post Gardman fire period it’s difficult to know how much of this decline is due to lack of availability against the lack of desire to buy Wild Bird Care lines. Gardman’s Fat Snax, tubs of 50, remain at No 1 with static sales but their Seed Mix, 2kg, dropped in volume by 40%.

Here are some highlights:

  • Westland Peckish Complete Energy Balls, 6+6 free, are the highest chart climber, up 39 places to No 7.
  • Gardman’s Squirrel Proof Seed Feeder is the highest re-entry at No 8.
  • Westland Peckish Winter Warmer 1.7kg grew sales by 400% to re-enter at No 30.
