17 national groups promised at IPM Essen plant show

IPM Essen, the increasingly popular German plant show, says 17 countries will exhibit in national groups at the 2019 event next month.

The organisers say visitors like the format because they can obtain information about country-specific products from several companies in a quickly and efficiently.

Belgium, the event’s main partner country, will be represented in three areas. China’s group will comprise seven companies showing accessories like weed mats, frosty protection covers made, LED lamps, bamboo canes and pots.

Seven exhibitors in the Costa Rica group will show exotic ornamental plants and in-vitro plants in a special laboratory.

Denmark will bring around 50 exhibitors showing house and garden plants and new plant concepts under the auspices of Floradania Marketing, including a display of plants and flowers that improve the indoor climate.

The French group will exhibit across two areas, one covering flowering pot plants, seeds, bulbs and vegetables and the other equipped by producers of garden roses, trees and bushes. High-value camellias with small blossoms and new pittosporum varieties will be the focus of attention there.

The British group of 12 companies, brought together by the Commercial Horticultural Association, will exhibit technical solutions and on two separate area.
