Record sales for garden products

Just as last week was a record March week for plant sales, so it was also a record for graden product sales. The GTN Bestsellers Top 50 volumes jumped by 38% week on week to surpass the peak last year as we went into Lockdown #1.

This year there was a theme of garden clean-up in the data as well as plant feeding products, together with even more pot and pot related sales.

Highlights of the week were:

  • Brintons Patio Magic 5 litres was a re-entry at No 13, Algon Organic Algae Remover Patio Cleaner moved up to No 6 and Wham General Purpose Buckets were a new entry at No 31.
  • Smart Garden Briers Large Yellow Ribbed Smart Grips were the highest new entry at No 3.
  • Plantworks Empathy Rootgrow 150g moved 29 places up the GTN Chart to it’s highest ever position at No 16.  There must have been a lot of planteria staff recommending going on!
  • Woodlodge Small Pot Feet stayed as the No 1 Bestselling garden product of the week, last year they were at No 10.
