Five new Greenfingers Charity Ambassadors appointed
Finding people willing to work for nothing isn’t easy. So it’s astonishing that five important people from the gardening industry signed up as unpaid Ambassadors to Greenfingers Charity at the recent Garden Press Day.
Leading the charge was Guy Burtenshaw, who co-founded the important media exhibition in 2006 with Greenfingers Founder President Richard Jackson. They are pictured with Peter Seabrook after Guy was presented with a Greenfingers Garden Gnome to mark his handing over of the organisation of the event to the HTA and GIMA.
Also added to the unpaid army of Greenfingers Ambassadors is Neil Grant, wildlife expert, BBC Radio Sheffield presenter and Managing Director of Ferndale Garden Centre, Sheffield; David Denny, Marketing & Insights Manager at the HTA; Martin Simmons, Director of Operations at the HTA and colourful Chris Collins, ex-Blue Peter gardener, children’s gardening guru and thoroughly good egg.
John Ashley, Chairman of Greenfingers Charity said, “I am delighted to welcome these five new Ambassadors into the huge team of industry worthies who are happy to provide help and support for this successful charity. The Fundraising & Communications team at Greenfingers couldn’t be so effective without the knowledge, enthusiasm and fresh new ideas that new blood offers to both the industry and this charity that builds gardens for children with life-limiting conditions.”
