Another week of sales staying ahead of last year

Almost half of the Total Volume sales deficit caused by the Lockdown closure of garden centres has been made up after another week of sales considerably up on any of the past few years.

As garden centres prepared to re-open the GTN Bestsellers All Epos products index sat at 50.7% down on last year.  After the first week of July that has reduced to 27.5% down.

If the 15% year on year increase of last week was maintained for the rest of the year that would bring us back to less than 10% down on 2019 and above the total sales achieved in 2012.

How are your preparations for Autumn gardening and Christmas coming along?  Do you think we can have a bumper Christmas and make up more of the deficit?
