The GIMA Awards are back – here’s everything you need to know!

Mark your diaries! The much beloved GIMA Awards are returning on Thursday 6th November, promising another dazzling evening dedicated to honouring the finest suppliers and manufacturers in the garden retail sector.

A highlight of the garden industry calendar, the GIMA Awards celebrate excellence across a diverse range of categories, including new product development, marketing initiatives, and export achievements from the past year. Once again, the prestigious five-star Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales, will set the stage for an unforgettable night of dining, networking, and well-earned recognition.

Category updates

The GIMA Awards are open to brands that have launched innovative gardening products, standout marketing campaigns and exceptional service levels between June 2024 and May 2025. This year, there are 10 product awards up for grabs, recognising cutting-edge designs and innovations. In the marketing categories, GIMA is inviting creative businesses to enter their latest campaigns into the ‘Best Point of Sale’ and the ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ awards, the latter incorporating social media excellence.

A brand-new ‘Associate of the Year’ award will also be introduced, voted for by GIMA members to honour outstanding contributions from industry associates. Meanwhile, the GCA Supplier of the Year Award has been restructured to include two turnover bands – one for businesses with an annual turnover of £5 million and under, and another for those exceeding £5 million – ensuring that both emerging and established businesses receive the recognition they deserve.

How to enter

Entry fees for the 2025 GIMA members are £65 + VAT per entry, while non-members can enter at £130 plus VAT per entry. The judging venue for this year's awards will once again be the centrally located Warwick Racecourse, with judging scheduled to take place on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th June.

For the night itself, GIMA members can secure a ticket for £369 + VAT per person, or £3,4799 + VAT for a table of 10, whilst non-member costs are £439 + VAT per person, or £4,199 + VAT for a table of 10 (all costs include dinner and accommodation).

Full details regarding how to enter can be found at www.gima.org.uk
