Still much more autumn gardening growing on

Growing media sales in October dropped by 4% on 2020 levels but were 46% higher than the same month in 2019.

If we hadn’t had the lull caused by the fuel ‘crisis’ it may have even been up. Compared to all pre-pandemic years there is a lot more autumn gardening going on!

Highlights of the week were:

  • Westland John Innes No 3 30 litres is the biggest mover in the GTN Top 10 this week, moving up 5 places to No 6.
  • Westland Jack's Magic All Purpose Compost 50 litres moves up 12 places to No 13.  Is this the result of ‘panic’ buying as Jack’s Magic moves to a 50% peat mix for 2022?
  • Westland Container & Basket Planting Mix 25 litres is a new entry at No 37.
