Hornby Whitefoot chosen for Briers’ PR

Garden industry public relations specialist, Hornby Whitefoot PR, has been appointed as the new PR team for Briers.

Briers, the original fashion-led garden clothing, gift and tool brand, signed with Hornby Whitefoot in early November after witnessing the agency’s efforts at GIMA, Glee and Garden Re-Leaf Day, as well as wider supplier based PR activities.

Relaunched as Hornby Whitefoot PR in 2015, the agency draws on decades’ worth of industry experience - with MD Kimberley Hornby and Account Manager Robbie Cumming complimented by a networked team of senior PR professionals based across the UK. The agency was the first in the industry to transform its operations to a versatile remote working arrangement with each member of the agency working from home, office, or in Robbie’s case, from a narrowboat that travels around the UK.

Hornby Whitefoot PR’s Managing Director Kimberley Hornby said: “I am so pleased to be able to confirm that Briers has joined our client roster. We really admire the work that the team have already achieved, so being able to get stuck in and develop this even further is an exciting prospect. We look forward to working with the team to build its brand awareness, and to join them on their journey as they continue to cement their place as the go-to brand for beautiful and aspirational garden clothing, gifts and tools.”

Briers’ Managing Director Jackie Eades explains why Hornby Whitefoot was her first choice: “I’ve known Robbie (Cumming, PR Account Manager) and his family for many years, and had met Kimberley at various industry events - but it wasn’t until I joined them both on this year’s Garden Re-Leaf charity walk that we got to know each other really well! To cut a long story short, I soon realised that not only were they on my wavelength, but they would also be perfect to help build our profile with trade and consumer audiences alike. We’ve got some big news to release over the next twelve months and I can’t think of another agency that is more qualified to take us to the next level.”
