Phoenix Natural Gas supports Hillmount kids club

Phoenix Natural Gas has announced its support of the Kids Gardening
Club at Hillmount. The free to attend club is hosted at Hillmount garden
lifestyle centres in Ards, Bangor and Belfast on the first Saturday of each
month.

Alan Mercer, Managing Director, Hillmount, said: "As a fourth generation
garden lifestyle centre, at Hillmount we are committed to teaching our next
generation about the beauty of nature and the thrill of planting seeds
which bloom into flowers or giving the children who attend plants to take
away which grow into edible strawberries for them to enjoy. Our kids
gardening club has grown in popularity over the past year in all our garden
centres and we welcome the support from Phoenix Natural Gas in what is a
very important initiative for Hillmount."

Geri Wright, Communications Manager at Phoenix Natural Gas, said, "Natural
gas is a fuel with inherent environmental benefits and since arriving in
Northern Ireland in 1996, has provided local energy consumers with an
energy source that is up to 50% less carbon polluting than the
non-regulated oil and coal alternatives.

"Environmental responsibility is a key focus for us and Phoenix Natural Gas
is actively involved with environmental partners to implement corporate
social responsibility initiatives that will bring real benefit to local
communities.

"We are delighted to establish this new partnership with Hillmount Kids
Gardening Club and help inspire the younger generation to care about the
environment, and learn how to protect it, through a very engaging and fun
initiative. I would encourage families to come along to the Gardening Club
and enjoy a great morning getting close to nature and learning about the
fantastic plant life at Hillmount."

Hillmount Kids Gardening Club in association with Phoenix Natural Gas,
Hillmount (Ards, Bangor and Belfast) Saturday 5 May at 10.00am and on the
first Saturday of each month. The club is free to attend and ends at
11.00am. Refreshments are provided.
