Safe stolen from Scottish Garden Centre

The Daily Record is reporting that a safe containing a four-figure sum was stolen from Castle Douglas Garden Centre in Dumfries & Galloway last weekend.

A spokesman for the garden centre is reported as saying: “They kicked the front door down to get in. I was surprised the robbers were able to move the safe but there isn’t really too much else I can say. We were back up and running by Sunday afternoon.”

Police are carrying out door-to-door enquiries nearby and CCTV footage is being reviewed from the surrounding streets and are keen tohear from anyone who saw or heard anything.
