Dobbies’ Buyer returns to RHS Chelsea Flower Show as Chair of Assessors

Dobbies Garden Centres’ Senior Houseplant Buyer, Claire Bishop, is returning to the prestigious position as Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chair of Assessors for the third time at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Claire will return to the lead role at RHS Chelsea Flower Show from Sunday 18 May and will then be responsible for supervising the moderation and assessors at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival (1-6 July). This includes evaluating, grading and guiding the judges, as well as ensuring consistency and fairness.

Claire's continued recognition by the RHS highlights the deep expertise within Dobbies' horticulture team and their commitment to use this expertise to inspire gardeners across the UK.

Commenting on her return as Chair of Assessors, Claire said: “It’s always an honour being recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society, and I’m excited to be part of this year’s show season once again. As Dobbies celebrates 160 years, it feels especially meaningful to represent a business with such a strong heritage at one of the industry’s most celebrated events.”

Andy Hannan, Commercial Director at Dobbies, added: “Claire’s re-appointment as RHS Chair of Assessors is a brilliant achievement and it really reflects her expertise and influence within the industry. Her passion for plants comes through in everything that she does, which is inspiring for everyone across the team. Fantastic job Claire!”
