Matthew Algie returns to London Coffee Festival

Leading independent coffee roaster, Matthew Algie, will return to London Coffee Festival (7-10 April 2016) – taking prime position (Stand G15) at one of the UK’s largest speciality coffee and artisan food festivals.

Matthew Algie is a well-established coffee shop authority, supplying coffee, machines, training and industry insight to thousands of operators across the UK and Ireland.

Andrew Jack, Head of Marketing at Matthew Algie, commented: “We’re looking forward to welcoming our trade customers and coffee lovers to the stand where they will have the chance to sample some of the newest additions to our hand roasted filter coffee and espresso collections. We’re also bringing along a selection of accessories and delicious accompaniments from our brand new Espresso Warehouse catalogue – including our recently expanded range of Gluten Free options.”

Visitors will be able to sample specially selected filter coffees from Matthew Algie’s hand roasted microlot collection including Columbia Buena Vista with its spring-like, delicate aroma, and Kenya Gathongo AB delivering a juicy lime flavour.

The team will also be comparing the results of different brew methods on its Kenyan coffee – including cold brew through the Toddy coffee maker.

For espresso lovers there will two expresso blends to try including Ruby Red’s Quartet which brings together beans from three continents to create a full on fruity hit with syrupy sweetness. Or give Craft Little Number a go bringing together one Columbian and two Brazilian coffees combining sweet chocolate notes with a buttery body.

Meanwhile, for those looking for insider tips, a team of coffee specialists from Matthew Algie will be on hand to talk about everything from coffee trends and menu development to selecting the perfect machine and getting the most from staff training.

Matthew Algie will be located at stand G15. The London Coffee Festival runs from 7th-10th April at The Old Truman Brewery. Industry days are on Thursday and Friday.
