Resolva ‘Win A Car’ promotion winner drives away in style

Resolva, part of Westland Horticulture, handed over the keys to a brand new electric Mini Cooper on Thursday, 9th January, to the lucky winner of its ‘Win A Car’ promotion.

The community of Blackpool celebrated at The Plant Place Garden Centre in Thornton-Cleveleys as local resident, Anne Emery, drove away in style in her brand new electric Mini Cooper, worth £32,500, thanks to Resolva.

Resolva’s highly successful in-store ‘Win A Car’ promotion attracted thousands of entrants and drove sales of the brand’s popular range of weedkillers. The promotion ran throughout spring and summer 2024 at garden centres across the UK and Ireland, giving shoppers the chance to win a brand new electric Mini Cooper in the prize draw.

Upon receiving her new car, Anne shared her joy: "I couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won! I’ve always been a huge fan of Resolva products because I love spending time in my garden, but I’m not a fan of the backbreaking work involved in keeping on top of weeds. This car is an absolute dream – it’s not just about the prize, it’s about the freedom it gives me to explore new places and spend more time doing what I love. I feel incredibly lucky!"

The celebration was equally thrilling for George Pitcher, Brand Manager, at Westland, who attended the event to personally congratulate winner Anne. He added: "Resolva is all about giving gardeners the freedom to enjoy their outdoor spaces without the time-consuming burden of constant weeding, and now we’re delighted to extend that freedom to easy, eco-conscious travel. We’re so happy for Anne – her excitement is contagious, and it’s a pleasure to see the impact this prize will have on her life."

The promotion highlighted Resolva’s mission to support both gardeners in helping them create an outdoor space that always looks its best, as well as its retail partners, by driving customers in-store to pick up a bottle of Resolva and enter the prize draw. Whether it’s a quick spot fix or there’s a larger area to tackle, Resolva has proven to be a reliable ally for gardeners, and now one lucky customer has even more to celebrate. As well as the grand prize of an electric Mini Cooper, runner up prizes were given away, including holidays, and garden centre staff were also rewarded with chocolate hampers for their in-store displays.
