Growing media up 27% on pre-pandemic levels

 

Growing media sales continue to outstrip pre-pandemic levels with September to date sales running at 27% up on 2019.

 

As the drive towards a peat free future continues, last week saw four peat free lines in the GTN Top 10 for Growing Media sales.

 

Highlights of the week were:

  • Evergreen Garden Care Miracle-Gro Peat Free All Purpose 40 litres stayed at No 2 overall.
  • Westland New Horizon All Plant Compost 50 litres was at No 4.
  • Growth Technology Houseplant Focus Repotting Mix Peat Free 8 litres moved up one place to No 7.
  • Taylors Peat Free Bulb Fibre 10 litres moved up 2 places to No 9.
