Autumn kicks in already, says GTN Bestsellers

Autumn gardening has already kicked in according to garden centre sales data analysed by GTN.

Heuchera and Cyclamen have taken over from pelargoniums as the most popular plants and planting of veg and seed potatoes for Christmas cropping continues at a good pace.

We’ve even seen the first sales of spring flowering bulbs for autumn planting show up in the Epos sales data. Snowdrops and Tulip Red Riding Hood are the first to show as instant sales when they go on display.

Wild Bird Care sales have also risen earlier than normal with the Gardman Forget Me Not Feeder proving a big success.

And then there is Christmas.  We’ve even been shown round some well hidden Christmas displays that are already being created in centres that want to be ahead of the game.  Is it really that time already?
