Garden centre customers get the 'Love Spring' message

We are loving early spring sales according to EPOS data analysis by GTN Bestsellers. Six weeks into the year, total sales volumes are running at almost 11% up on last year and plant sales are racing ahead at 43%.

Planted bulbs are selling extremely well along with the instant colour hits of Primula and Hellebores.

As we saw at GCA Award winning Bents Garden & Home this week covered planterias are looking really attractive at the moment, no wonder customers and garden centre tills are Loving Spring.

GTN Bestsellers Top 50 sales volumes compared to the same week last year (week 6):

  • Garden Products - up 2%
  • Growing Media - up 28%
  • Veg-2-Gro - up 13%
  • Wild Bird Care - down 34%
  • All Plants Index - up 56%
  • All Items Index - up 14%
