Fat balls produce some sales growth
It was a feast of suet treats that sold well in Wild Bird Care last week. Eight of the Top 20 lines in the GTN Bestsellers Wild Bird Care chart were suet or fat ball feeds.
That meant fat feed products increased sales by 14% in a week when overall wild bird care products dropped by 1% on the previous week.
This week’s highlights were:
- Gardman Fat Snax, tub of 50, held onto the No 1 Wild Bird care line for the 4th week running, even outselling the popular Gardeman Poppy Bird Feeders.
- ChapelWood Suet Logs, 6 packs, were the highest chart re-entry at No 3.
- Hedgehog feed sales increased significantly – Gardman Hedgehog Bites moved up 22 places to No 8 and Jacobi Jayne Rowena’s Hedgehog Mix was at No 21.
