Awards success at Notcutts in 125th anniversary year

Caroline Notcutt and Andrew Notcutt at Notcutts’ annual conference and awards ceremony.

Notcutts has been celebrating success across its 18 garden centres nationwide with a special conference and awards event as part of its 125th anniversary. Teams gathered together in Maldon, Essex, to recognise business and individual achievements in the past year.

The family-owned garden centre group presented 12 awards in categories such as ‘Best Customer Service’, ‘Planteria Excellence’, and for demonstrating Notcutts’ values of ‘Passion, Inspiration and Expertise’. A ‘Community Hero Award’ was presented to the team at Notcutts Rivendell Garden Centre to recognise their support across a diverse range of local community projects. Meanwhile Notcutts Garden Pride was presented with a new ‘Environmental Action Award’ for their efforts to save energy and promote biodiversity on a local level.

Further awards were presented to individual ‘Frontline Heroes’ who have shown exceptional service towards customers and their team, while ‘Long-Service Awards’ were presented to colleagues who have dedicated 25 years of their career to Notcutts.

Nick Burrows, Chief Executive at Notcutts Garden Centres, said: “In this special year as we celebrate our 125th anniversary, and after two years apart, it was wonderful to get back together again to recognise achievements and reward colleagues for their outstanding service at our garden centres across the country. Congratulations to all winners and thank you to our sponsors for joining our celebration.”

“While looking back on our success, the conference is also an opportunity to look at our future strategy, the future of gardening, and how we can all bring positive contributions to nature, sustainability and the environment. This is a core focus for Notcutts in our 125th year and beyond.”
