Taylors Bulbs have been reaping the rewards of their recent solar panel and LED lighting installations. In early 2023, Taylors installed 1544 solar panels at their Lincolnshire HQ and replaced all the lighting on site with LED.

Since installation, the solar panels at Taylors have generated 633000 kWh of electricity. This has meant that nearly 30% of the electricity Taylors use now comes from their solar panels.

The solar panels have benefited the company’s carbon footprint, reducing it by an estimated 31.7 Tonnes CO₂e. LED lighting has further reduced their carbon footprint by 10 Tonnes CO₂e contributing to an overall reduction in carbon footprint of 14.3% over the last year.

Technical Manager Andy Bean, who oversaw the solar and LED project said: “It’s really pleasing to be able to quantify the benefits of our solar and LED projects and we are now able to see the contribution they are making towards reducing our carbon footprint. We continue to look for efficiencies and improvements we can utilise throughout the business to make further CO₂e  reductions.”
