Onion sets the pace

Onion sets dominate the top of the Veg-2-Gro chart this week with five lines in the Top 10 and 11 lines in the Top 25.

Total Veg-2-Gro volumes dippied below last year’s levels for the first time this year, but year to date volume sales are significantly up on past years – 91% up on 2021 and 53% up on 2019.

Highlights of the week were:

  • Whilst onion sets dominate the Top 10, Boulton's Strawberries In Variety are still the No 1 GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro Line.
  • Taylors Asparagus Gijnlim is the highest re-entry of the week, in at No 19.
  • Taylors Shallots Red Value Pack climbed furthest up the chart from No 45 to No 20.
