Award on the cards for Highfield Garden World

Highfield Garden World in Gloucestershire is celebrating being named finalists in this year’s RETAS awards which recognise excellence within greeting card retail.

The family owned independent has reached the shortlist within the ‘Best Garden Centre Retailer of Greeting Cards – Independent (1-4 centres)’ category.

Highfield has seen its card department flourish to the point where the department takes around £14000 (exc VAT) per month.  Although Highfield has long enjoyed buoyant card sales figures, they have enjoyed a considerable boost since the business outsourced the management of the department to Woodmansterne.

Director Tim Armstrong commented;  “Woodmansterne do a very good job and we work together well.  Every quarter they analyse the sales then use that insight to make decisions around removing any slow selling ranges and replacing them with different designs.  It keeps the display looking fresh and offers something new but expertly tailored to our customers who clearly enjoy spending time browsing the displays to choose their favourites.”

The RETAS award winners will be announced at an awards event on Thursday 7 July 2022 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
