Spear and Jackson announces partnership with leading influencer

Brand-leading garden tools company, Spear and Jackson, has announced a new collaboration with leading influencer and best-selling author, Huw Richards.

In 1999 Huw moved from Yorkshire to mid-west Wales with his parents who were after ‘the good life’. From a very young age Huw was helping his parents in the vegetable garden and aged twelve he created his own YouTube channel, Huw Richards, vegetable gardening. Ever since, Huw has been on a mission to help as many people as possible to reconnect with the food they eat and to empower them to grow their own food inexpensively.

Huw has a massive following of over 548,000 YouTube subscribers and his videos have collectively been viewed over 50 million times. Huw can also be found on Instagram @huwsgarden

In addition to being a key influencer and best-selling author, Huw has also been sharing the knowledge he has gained from over 15 years growing experience through his Abundance Academy which provides online courses on improving garden productivity. He set up Regenerative Media to connect the public with sustainable and inspirational farmers, growers, and producers.

The team at Spear and Jackson is excited to be working closely with Huw as their Brand Ambassador. He will be creating a monthly series of Blogs and Videos aimed at amateur growers and gardeners, providing expert hints and tips on growing their own food organically and sustainably. Of course, Huw will also be recommending the best Spear & Jackson Garden hand tools for the job and showing how to use them on the vegetable plot and in the garden.

Spear and Jackson Managing Director, Ian Archer, says “We are delighted to be working with Huw as our Brand Ambassador, his passion and enthusiasm for growing is evident and we share his ethical approach to organic growing and sustainability. We look forward to working with Huw and to being involved in some of the exciting projects that he has in the pipeline for the year ahead."

Huw said “I am very excited to be partnering with such a well-known and trusted brand as Spear and Jackson. It’s going to be a busy year, and I can’t wait to start sharing my ideas and inspiring as many like-minded growing enthusiasts as possible through this new partnership.”
