Bord na Móna UK expands sales and marketing team

Award-winning manufacturer and supplier of peat-based, peat- free growing media and specialist fertilisers, Bord na Móna UK has expanded its Sales & Marketing team, thanks to the continued success of its Bord na Móna Growise branded products and own brand formulations.

Reporting to Head of Business Gerry O’Hagan, the team now comprises Head of Marketing, June Dowling and Interim Head of Commercial, Steve Harper, along with National Sales Manager Jason Pike. The addition of two new members of the national accounts team – Jon Watson and Jerry Walker – completes the expansion.

Commenting on the present developments, Gerry said, “ Over the past year, Bord na Móna UK has invested heavily in its level of customer support and product development, with 2016 seeing the launch of a whopping 30 new products. This has resulted in a significant increase in interest for our Bord na Móna Growise brand of growing media and fertiliser products. By strengthening our sales and marketing department, we are now in a great position to drive the company forward as a leading name in the horticultural market.”

Committed to providing the very best performing product whatever the task in hand, Bord na Móna UK has recently received a host of accolades for its range of peat-reduced and peat-free compost, with a number of products receiving the prestigious Which? Best Buy status. With a comprehensive sales & marketing team now in place, the company is perfectly placed to continue its plans for development throughout 2017 and beyond.

As the largest own brand supplier of compost and bark in the UK, Bord na Móna UK trades peat–reduced, peat-free growing media, fertilisers and soil improvers through garden centres nationally. The company is part of Bord na Móna plc, which specialises in eco-fuels, growing media, recycling, resource recovery and renewable energy.
