There’s still lots of growing potential in May
 
Growing media sales volumes continue to indicate high levels of growing activity. 

Year on year for the second week of May volumes were down 3% but the Top 50 total was the second highest for that week in the past five years.

If the warmer weather gets the less experienced customers coming into store we could expect to see more growing media records broken during the rest of May.

The highlights this week were:
  • Scotts Levington Multipurpose + John Innes (56 litres) stayed on top of the chart.
  • Scotts Levington Multipurpose Compost (56 litres) was the highest climber, moving up 20 places to No 21.
  • Westland Ericaceous + John Innes (30 litres) was the highest re-entry at No 35.
