Blue Diamond Huntingdon opens after £2m refit and takes £204k in first 4 days

Blue Diamond MD, Alan Roper, along with the Easter Bunny welcomed hundreds of queing customers at the opening of Huntingdon Garden & Home last week.  The store, previously part of the Garden & Leisure group and then Wyevale, had been closed by Dobbies at the end of 2024 as part of their restructuring plan. Alan Roper told GTN Xtra: "Huntingdon (ex VAT) took £206k in 4 days, Thursday to Sunday..."

TV & radio personality Nicki Chapman opens BGC's 72nd centre at Northampton

Northampton Garden Centre reopened over the weekend after being acquired by British Garden Centres only 6 weeks ago. TV and radio presenter Nicki Chapman performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony as hundreds of visitors waited to see the new store in Newport Pagnell Rd, Wootton.  Amy Stubbs told GTN Xtra: “We are super pleased with the results from Northampton. The numbers came in a lot better than we were expecting with a very high basket spend!”
