Local MP Opens BGC Havant

Havant MP Alan Mak, Shadow Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, officially opened the British Garden Centres Havant Garden Centre on Saturday.

“Mr Mak said: "It was a pleasure to cut the ribbon and declare the new Havant Garden Centre open. It is great to see this family-run business investing in Havant and creating what is much more than a store. With an expanded restaurant and an indoor soft play area, it is somewhere the whole family can enjoy a visit.”

Queues of over 200 customers formed outside ahead of the opening, all eager to take advantage of the 10% off everything offer that was in place to the weekends opening celebrations.

British Garden Centres MD, Charles Stubbs told GTN Xtra: “The team at Havant who transferred over from Dobbies have been truly fantastic. The efforts they have put in to get the centre cleaned and re-stocked ready for the re-opening have really impressed me.”
