Glee launches new Roadshow - April 23rd at Monkton Elm

Glee has announced the launch of its first-ever nationwide roadshow – a unique event which will bring together expert insights, valuable networking opportunities, and practical solutions, all designed to equip garden retailers with the tools they need to thrive in the year ahead and beyond.

Demonstrative of Glee’s approach to fostering and empowering its garden retail community, the all-new Roadshow will kick off in the Southwest at Monkton Elm Garden Centre, Taunton on Wednesday 23rd 2025, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Attendees will enjoy a networking lunch with live food demonstrations before hearing from Glee Strategist, Boyd Douglas-Davis and other special guests, who will deliver opening remarks and outline the themes for the day. The event will also feature an interactive fishbowl panel discussion entitled “Navigating Budget Cuts: How Garden Centres Are Planning for Growth,”. This session will allow retailers to share experiences, ask burning questions and gain valuable insights into overcoming financial challenges while driving business success.

A mid-afternoon break will provide further networking opportunities before the focus shifts to the hands-on workshop, “How to Be the Heart of the Community: Creating a Destination, Not Just a Store.” This session will explore strategies to enhance customer experience, increase footfall, and strengthen connections with local communities.

Matthew Mein, Glee Event Director, said: “"As Glee continues to support and inspire the garden retail community, our nationwide roadshow marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to unite the industry. We understand that garden centre owners and buyers are busy preparing for the season ahead, so we're bringing Glee directly to them - making it easier than ever to be part of the conversation. With a superb schedule of content, we’ll tackle the industry's biggest challenges head-on, equipping attendees with practical, proven solutions they can implement straight away."

Glee Roadshow to expand

The Glee Roadshow will be expanding to two additional UK locations in the coming months, with details to be announced soon. This expansion means even more garden centre owners and industry professionals will have the opportunity to engage with the latest industry trends, discover fresh inspiration, and experience Glee’s renowned networking atmosphere. Each event will be thoughtfully curated to address key opportunities and challenges, highlighting why attending Glee is such a unique business growth opportunity, while also nurturing a stronger sense of community.
