Staff take up curling at North Walsham, Bobsleigh at Lakeside Plant Centre and get Reindeer pulling sleighs at Richardsons Garden Centre

Staff at North Walsham Garden Centre took inspiration from the recent Winter Olympics and tried their hand at a spot of curling during this week's wintry weather.

A video of the 'North Walsham garden centre curling championships' was posted on the centre's Facebook page and drew quite a lot of attention, including over 800 views.

And on YouTube the video attracted over 600 views.

Or you can view the video at https://youtu.be/QpouIWRewPw

Meanwhile at Lakeside Plant Centre in Telford they put out a call for volunteers to join their Bobsled team. "2022 here we come," said manager Kevin Turley.

And now we've received this footage of Reindeer giving proper sleigh rides to staff at Richardsons Garden Centre in County Durham:

Watch the Sleigh Ride video here

George Richardson tells GTN Xtra: "In your request for snow related story we had one of our Reindeer pulling staff members around in a proper sleigh. We hire Reindeer to other garden centres and business through our sister company Rent A Reindeer Ltd. www.rentareindeer.co.uk

"Usually our sleighs are on wheels for Santa arrival events but the snow allowed for a bit of fun. Not the best of video’s because as soon as we took phones out of pockets they froze and stopped working it was that cold."

Send us pictures of your garden centre winter sports and we will add them to this story.  E-mail: trevor.pfeiffer@tgcmc.co.uk
