Scotsdales Garden Centre near Cambridge has been voted UK Garden Centre of the Year at the 27th Graines d’Or ceremony, which took place in Paris on Wednesday.
Scostdales Managing Director and HTA President Caroline Owen was also announced as ‘European Personality of the Year’ at the ceremony, which recognises excellence and innovation in the garden industry across Europe.
HTA Director General Carol Paris said: “Many congratulations to Caroline and her team at Scotsdales for winning this European recognition for the fantastic work in putting the garden centre at the heart of the community.
The “Graines d’Or” awards are run by French garden industry magazine Jardineries (www.jardineries.com) alongside the 2nd European Garden Congress which took place on Thursday.
UK garden centres nominated included: Hayes Garden World, Haskins Garden Centre (Roundstone), Melbicks Garden & Leisure and RHS Wisley Plant Centre.
