Pots of small growing media bag sales

Small bags of compost saw huge sales increases last week, perhaps linked to the increases in pot sales seen in the Garden Products chart.

Five of the Top 10 growing media lines were of bag sizes 30 litres or smaller with Arthur Bowers New Horizon 10 litre multipurpose re-entering at No 2.

Other main highlights were:
  • Bord na Mona Growise Multipurpose Compost (20 litres)was the highest new entry at No 5.
  • Westland John Innes Repotting No.2 (30 litres) was the highest climber, moving up 26 places to No 16.
  • Returning products were Scotts Levington Ericaceous Compost (20 litres) and Scotts Levington Seed & Cutting Compost (20 litres) at Nos 7 & 8.
  • Scotts Levington Multipurpose + John Innes (56 litres) stayed on top of the chart.
