Christmas products, lights, bulbs and manure in demand

Christmas, bulbs, manure and garden lighting were the major areas for bestsellers as another week of increased sales year on year sees the GTN All Products Volume Sales Index move ever closer to parity for 2016.

A 10% average year on year increase between now and mid December will get us there.

The past seven weeks have averaged at 9% up year on year so with continued favourable weather and all the superb Santa events across the country adding to footfall that goal of parity on volume, which will mean revenues up everywhere, is well within reach.

GTN Bestsellers Top 50 sales volumes compared to the same week last year...
  • Garden Products - up 12%
  • Growing Media - up 15%
  • Christmas Products - up 30%
  • All Items Index - up 5%
