Plenty of potential for garden product sales

Garden Product Top 50 sales volumes were 8% down for May compared to 2018, but on a par with sales for 2017.

That drop for the month hasn’t eaten away all of the gains for the year to date, however, now 2.1% up.

With plenty of growing activity going on there is potential for plenty of summer gardening sales when customers make a return garden centre visit.

Highlights of the week were:

  • Vitax Hydrangea Feed 1kg was the highest new entry of the week, in at No 38.
  • Smart Solar Eureka Firefly Lantern is the highest chart climber, up 26 places to No 16.
  • Neudorff Sluggo Slug & Snail Killer 800g moves up 5 places to No 6.
