Whitehall acquire third centre with purchase of Woodborough

Woodborough Garden Centre near Pewsey, Wiltshire, has been sold to the Whitehall Garden Centre Group. The acquisition gives Whitehall their third garden centre.

Woodborough Garden Centre is a well-established business on a 18 acre site with a catchment area covering Marlborough, Pewsey and Devizes.

“We have been looking for a third site for a while, we believe that Woodborough is the perfect addition to Whitehall Garden Centres' due to its location and homely feel, we are looking forward to the development and future of Whitehall Woodborough,” said Peter Self, Whitehall’s Managing Director.

The business was established by Claire Rourke.

“I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at Woodborough, but it is now time to move on and work on my other business interests”. said Claire “ I would like to thank our customers and staff in particular for their help and assistance.”

The sale of the business was handled by specialist garden centre property advisers Gilbert Evans.

“There is a good demand for well-run centres across the country at present,” commented Mike Gilbert of Gilbert Evans garden centre team, “the market is as strong as it has been for many years.”
