Runner beans toppled by cucumbers

Cucumber sales toppled Runner Beans off the top of the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro chart last week.

The 9cm potted cucumber plants from WD Smith sold in higher aggregated volumes than Quantil’s White Emergo Runner Bean strips. In the week overall Veg-2-Gro sales volumes continued to decline as the season for planting summer crops draws to a close.

The main highlights this week were:
  • Farplants Chives 9cm was the highest climber, jumping 28 places to No 10.
  • Quantil Sweet Potato Bonita 10cm was the highest re-entry at No 15.
  • Farplants Rosemary Common was another returning entry.
