Are you 2017 ready? Industry invited to John Stanley workshop

We live in changing times and independent retailers have to lead to grow sales. Being one step in front of the consumer is the challenge that faces the garden industry.

What better to kick off the year than to listen to the latest thoughts from international garden retail guru John Stanley who will host his only UK workshop at Pentland Plants, near Edinburgh on Monday 30 January 2017.

The Millennial consumer thinks differently and expects a different experience when they shop.  These consumers are information hungry, social media savvy, have a short attention span and rely on visual ideas. This means retailers need to rethink how they approach the consumer and display to stimulate sales.

This workshop looks at ideas that need to be developed to grow sales in a changing world.

John Stanley works with independent garden centres in 35 countries advising on how retailers can stay ahead of the consumer. The ideas he will present are cost effective and will enable you to develop them for the coming spring in your business.

John is a world renowned retail consultant, speaker and author, starting his career teaching perishable retail management at Merrist Wood College.  His ability to create rapid stock turnover launched his global consultancy and made him highly sought after in all retail industries. His presentations and workshops teach retailers how create solutions for a new generation of customers and bring them the new experiences they crave.

This will take place from 6.30pm – 9pm on Monday January 30th 2017 at Pentland Plants, Pentland Nurseries, Loanhead , EH20 9QG.

Cost Price is £50 per person for HTA members and £60 for non-members and this includes refreshments and a light supper.

To register your interest contact Neil Cummings, HTA Regional Business Manager, on neil.cummings@hta.org.uk
