Gardeners rush to buy plant supports in windy weather
The recent windy weather has prompted a surge in the sale of plant stakes as gardeners try to protect their precious borders and veg plots from damage.
In the GTN Bestsellers Garden Products chart the highest re-entry was Gardman Gard Stakes 11mm x 120cm at No 23. Gardman Gard ‘n’ Hoop 52cm x 90cm, pack of 2, also returned to the Top 50 bestselling items.
Other notable performances in the Top 50 this week were:
- Smart Solar Flutterby Butterfly is the highest climber, jumping 26 places to No 9.
- Gardman Rattan Battery Operated Floor Column Lantern is the highest new entry.
- Bayer Path & Drive Weedkiller Ready To Use and Woodlodge 38cm Feather Pot were other newcomers.
