Christmas sales race ahead of last year

Christmas races ahead of last year, Bottle lights continue to be a No 1 Bestseller and Peat Free Growing Media continues to sell to serious gardeners like never before. These are the headlines from the GTN Bestsellers EPOS data analysis this week.

After the second autumn half term week, any regional half term variations are taken out of the equation and we can safely say that Christmas volume sales are up on last year by 10% so far this season.

In garden products, Bottle Lights from Creative Products continue to provide a welcome boost to sales volumes, selling 3 times the volume of the No 2 bestseller and outselling any single Christmas light line.

And in growing media two peat free products are now in the Top 10 of our growing media chart.  If the serious gardeners buying these lines get great results they will be back to buy more next spring and influence others to buy too.
