Houseplants drive up sales of containers

Pots and saucers increased sales by 14% last week, according to GTN Bestsellers, probably linked to a 37% increase in overall housplant sales.

Overall garden products sales reflected the drop in footfall caused by the weather.

Garden centres are reporting that customers are returning after Christmas to buy feed and drip feeders. They are being tempted to buy more housplants.

Is this the start of a housplant resurgence? Are you geared up to maximise sales of colour co-ordinated pots too?

The highest new entry was Elho Brussels Round Mini Pot 10.5cm Soap.
