An exciting new partnership is making it easy for garden centres to sell a full range of Italian grown plants under the Earth Bound banner. Kent based Provender Nurseries, already an established supplier to the landscape and garden design sector, has teamed up with Innocenti & Mangani Piante from Tuscany.
Provender’s Richard McKenna, Managing Director, and Richard Burt, Sales Director, launched the new venture at the HTA New Plant Show and explained the partnership combines the quality plant production and range of Innocenti, with Provender’s meticulous biosecurity measures. Provender is about to become a UK Control Point which means its plant imports will come directly to site for checking, rather than having to be checked at borders and risk being damaged from delays.
Collections of plants suited to different situations, such as Shade Lover or Shape & Form will make buying for both retailers and consumer easy, and information will be backed up by a comprehensive website via QR codes. QR code-enabled posters and POS will also be offered, and home gardeners can also benefit from the informative website where they will be able to find their nearest stockist.
Richard McKenna explained retailers will be able to give their customers realistic timeframes for plant availability as they will be able to see what stock is held at Provender Nurseries and therefore quick to despatch, what’s in transit and what is on order and yet to leave Tuscany.
