Dynamic Agenda for the International Horticultural Expos Conference

As the steward of the world’s most significant global horticultural events, the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) has unveiled its forthcoming International Horticultural Expo Conference agenda.

The International Horticultural Expo Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, 4 September, as part of the prestigious 76th AIPH Annual Congress (September 3-7, 2024). It will be hosted in the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland.

Delegates will have the exceptional opportunity to visit the AIPH-approved Green Is Life International Trade Fair on 5 September, exploring the latest trends and achievements in the horticulture industry.

A Gathering of Global Horticultural Leaders

The AIPH Congress is a testament to the global recognition of horticultural excellence, which brings together horticultural leaders, visionaries, and innovators from across the globe. The International Horticultural Expo Conference programme is meticulously designed to offer delegates a comprehensive and insightful look into the future of horticultural exhibitions, with a series of high-profile presentations and critical discussions.

Delegates will have a unique opportunity to learn from influential figures such as Renata Fryszkowska-Madej, Vice President of the Polish Nurserymen Association, who will share insights on the role of horticulture in urban development. Additionally, Nadine Haas, Project Manager, from Doppelmayr, a global leader in ropeway and cable car engineering, will speak on how innovative infrastructure can enhance the experience and accessibility of major events like horticultural expos. Simon Ogrizek from Florint will inform delegates about his association and how it can support Expos.

Showcasing the Future of Horticultural Expos

The conference will be an in-depth exploration of forthcoming AIPH-approved Expos. Attendees will receive updates on the much-anticipated A1 Expos, including Expo 2027 in Yokohama, Japan, and the 2029 Expo in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Thailand. The spotlight will also be on other AIPH-approved B Expos, with a close look at Expo 2026 in Izmir, Türkiye, and Udon Thani, Thailand. Euroflora 2025 in Italy will be presented as a prime example of Italy’s cultural and botanical richness embodied in a Category C Expo.

Key Expos Reviews

For more than 60 years, AIPH has been at the forefront of approving and regulating international horticultural expos. These events showcase the beauty of nature and play a crucial role in creating green legacies and transforming the reputations of host cities. AIPH’s commitment to excellence ensures that each expo is a beacon of innovation and a source of inspiration for millions worldwide.
Another key highlight of the conference will be the presentation of the Final Report of Expo 2023 Doha Qatar, offering a retrospective look at its successes and the lessons learned. This will be followed by a forward-looking presentation on the current International Horticultural Exhibition Chengdu 2024 in China, showcasing its ongoing impact and the remarkable displays that continue to captivate millions of visitors.

Voting on Future Horticultural Expos

In addition to these showcases, the conference will see presentations from Minnesota, USA, aiming to host an A1 World Horticultural Expo in 2031; Ulsan, South Korea, which seeks to secure a B International Horticultural Exhibition; and Chunchungnamdo, South Korea, with an application for a Category C Expo.

On the same day, the AIPH General Meeting follows the Expos Conference, and AIPH members will evaluate and vote on the new applications for future Expos. This meeting provides a unique opportunity for members to contribute to the expansion of global horticultural events that champion environmental sustainability and urban innovation. The AIPH Members participation and vote are crucial in shaping the future of the horticultural industry.

Networking and Knowledge Exchange

The Expo Conference provides unparalleled networking opportunities, allowing delegates to engage with expo organisers, city representatives, landscape architects, suppliers to major events and key stakeholders worldwide. This gathering of minds will undoubtedly inspire new collaborations and ideas, driving the horticultural industry forward.

Acknowledgements and Partnerships

AIPH extends its sincere thanks to Biblo, the 76th Congress Headline Sponsor, Expo Conference Partners Doppelmayr, and the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo, the proud sponsor of the Expo Conference Dinner. We deeply appreciate their support and commitment to the horticultural industry.
