Summer plant growth

Summer flowering plants made the headlines in the first week of July. There were sizeable increases for Astilbe, Tagetes, Erigeron, Helianthus and Gazania.

  • Astilbe climbed 21 places up the GTN Chart to No 10.
  • Tagetes were one place behind at No 11.
  • Erigeron moved up 15 places to No 21.
  • Helianthus grew 18 places up to No 25.
  • Gazanias were a re-entry at No 38.

All Plants volume sales change: Week on week DOWN 7.2%.  Year to date vs 2018 DOWN 6.1%, vs  2017 UP 2.2%.
