Following our recent significant expansion we are looking for a driven Buyer/Category manager to join our Home team. 

Our aim on our Home and Indoor Living range is to deliver a point of difference to an AB1 consumer to trigger those impulse buys from customers who visit our centres for a multitude of reasons. Kitchen, Bathroom, Room fragrance, Home accessories, Children’s, books and cards are just some of the categories within our Home department. Our Group generates more profit per customer than any other garden centre retailer on ‘Home’ and we are looking for a person who is numbers driven analytical and passionate about driving profit. If you just want to select product and not control the retailing and execution in store this is NOT the job for you!

You will report to the Head of Home and your responsibilities will include:

  • Range selection and implementation through allocations and merchandising briefs.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop Own Brand/exclusive ranges.
  • Using our profit per person benchmarking system to identify missed and potential profit opportunities within store for, correcting missed profit and delivering potential profit.
  • Center visits alongside merchandising colleagues to support in driving profitability for the categories you manage.
