Torwood Garden Centre wins hat-trick at business awards

Torwood Garden Centre scored a trio of successes at the Falkirk Herald business awards dinner last week.

The garden centre was awarded Best Independent Business, Best for Tourism and Outstanding Achievement of the Year with judges commenting on the centre's strong family heritage, longevity and ongoing contribution to the local community.

"This year we have been celebrating 75 years of family business with a year of events around not just our own but other aspects of local history," said Jamie Stevenson.

"The support of our staff has been fantastic, many of them having been with us for more than 10 years and for two individuals it has been 25 years making them very much a part of the family.

"I know my grandparents will be incredibly proud to see the business doing so well and it is fantastic to be able to give them and all of the staff the recognition they deserve for their ongoing efforts and hard work."
